The social media director of A Passion Approach, an apostolic women’s ministry, approached me to design a series of six ads for their Q1 2025 social media campaign. The campaign promoted six new book releases and required a clean, cohesive set of advertisements for Instagram and Facebook, with the primary goal of increasing awareness while establishing a reusable visual system for future promotions.
After collaborating closely with the social media manager to define a clear creative direction, I developed a template-based design system that maintained visual consistency across all six ads while allowing for variation in orientation and color palette to suit different platform placements.
The social media manager requested an aesthetic inspired by book review posts commonly found on Goodreads’ Instagram account. I incorporated this influence by drawing on recognizable design elements from those posts, including hand-drawn arrows used to highlight key text, flowing organic shapes, and a soft pastel color palette. The final templates were designed with mobile-first readability in mind and approved for reuse in future campaigns.
