After completing the Authentic Student Ministries rebrand in 2024, I was approached to design a standalone logo for the youth ministry’s corresponding podcast, Authentic Conversations. Upon completing and delivering the logo, I was then given creative freedom to design a simple visual system around the podcast as well. The system would need to be scalable across multiple streaming platforms, as well as the podcast’s corresponding YouTube channel, while staying visually cohesive with the new Authentic Student Ministries brand.

To keep the brands consistent, the logo borrows the design language from the ASM logo; the same bold angled script font, with a blue text box replacing the tail to evoke speech. The decision to prominently feature the hosts in a secondary version of the logo was intended to help the youth more closely associate the two pastors with the podcast, giving it a personable face they already knew and trusted, which was important for some of the heavier topics the podcast covers.

The color palette borrows the secondary colors from the ASM brand and utilizes a dotted halftone pattern to break up the solid color background and improve contrast. I also designed a frame for episode recaps and clips for the YouTube video variation of episodes.
